We have an opening for a Program Manager for a large, newly awarded DOD Program.   This is a very key role with our client, a large Federal Integrator and voted a Washington Post Top Workplace.  The ideal candidate will prior experience managing large, complex DOD Programs.  US Citizen with current Secret Clearance.

Location: Fully Remote w/ OCCASIONAL trip to Sterling, VA
Specific Roles and Responsibilities for the DOD DMDC Program Manager position include but are not limited to:
  • Lead, oversee, and manage a complex program, which covers a portfolio of workstreams, ensuring excellent contract delivery
  • Lead and mentor a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities that can meet customer and organization objectives, and help create resiliency in the organization
  • Create an environment of trust, high performance, and laser focus service delivery
  • Works with and through both functional and technical project team members to deliver in an agile manner
  • Demonstrates leadership skills to manage project resources and cultivate strong customer relationships
  • Proactively manages risks and mitigates issues associated with project delivery
  • Own all aspects of the program from planning through execution, serve as the main point of contact, and strive to meet delivery, quality, and budget goals
  • Manage risk, budget analysis, and scope effectively to create successful outcomes
  • Develops strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation; identifies and solves project issues effectively
  • Achieve financial planning, forecasting, and corrective actions to ensure the program adheres to budget 
  • Assist in program recruitment, mentoring of team members, and training
  • Drive organic growth and support new business growth including capture and proposal development in partnership with corporate resources for substantial opportunities, as needed
The DOD DMDC Program Manager will have the following qualifications:
  • 12+ years of professional project and program management
  • Proven experience in managing agile delivery teams of 60-70 personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-disciplinary IT teams on large complex programs.
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering on a portfolio of projects that focuses on QA, development, and modernization
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills to define requirements for project risks
  • A bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer engineering or related field is required. Employer will accept a suitable combination of education, training or experience
  • PMI-PMP or PMI-PgMP certification.
  • Must be a US Citizen; DOD clearance preferred
