Job Title: Associate Project Manager Location: US-Remote Overview: Our client, an award-winning Federal Integrator, is seeking an Associate Project Manager, who will be the direct customer liaison for a new project and responsible for the management of the team. The person will have to wear multiple hats initially, helping with business analyst and scrum master duties, as needed by the project.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities for this role include -
Own project delivery for IT solutions aimed at the U.S Federal government
Act as the primary point of contact for all customer/stakeholder communication needs
Understand and document project requirements from both a business and a technical standpoint. Serve as the liaison between business users and the project team
Demonstrate leadership skills to manage project resources and help remove impediments
Ensure project goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
Proactively identify, report, and manage program risks
Cultivate strong relationships with customers and Government POC’s to deliver successfully on program goals and position REI as a thought leader on the program
Work with the Program Manager to manage contractual, financial, and personnel related issues associated with project delivery
People-centric leadership. Assist in recruitment, mentoring team members, and training.
Qualifications: Required Experience/Skills
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in IT project implementations, maintaining quality control throughout the software life cycle including solution architecture and systems analysis.
3+ years of experience working with an Agile implementation team writing user stories, grooming product backlog, planning out release planning.
Ability to understand cloud architecture & design concepts, three-tier architecture, and technical dependencies
Ability to develop implementation plan(s) for complex IT enterprise scale projects working through vendors and teams
Good knowledge of Agile Software Development practices
Ability to work independently with minimum guidance and collaborate with internal and external teams to make progress
Ability to track progress and unblock individual via collaboration with other team members or escalation to chain of command
Ability to influence without authority in Technical IT Projects
Experience in developing reports and executive presentations
Proven experience managing agile scrum teams
Proven stakeholder management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
