JUNIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED)

NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Junior Software Developer to support a Federal Program in Springfield, VA.  This is a direct-hire role with our client, a fast-growing Federal Integrator.  Outstanding compensation and benefits!  Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and an active Top Secret Clearance is required.
 

Junior Software Engineer

Duties:

· Incrementally build functionality for DevSecOps product verticals

· Participate in sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile related events

· Track and communicate oval progress against assigned user stories

· Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs

· Assist with internal and external communication

· Provide complexity estimates through story selection and task definition

· Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity and innovation

 

Required Skills:

· Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience

· Experience working in dynamic team-based environment

· Understanding of DevSecOps and /or software/application development processes

· Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g. Javscript, Python)

· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

· Experience with web-based Knowledge Management and workflow tools

· Active security clearance required to start and must be able to obtain a CI Poly

 

Desired Skills and Certifications:

· 2+ years of experience working within the DoD or IC Community

· Experience with Atlassian Agile Products; specifically, JIRA and Confluence

· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

· Sec+ certification or ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of hire
