SENIOR API SYSTEMS ENGINEER (CI POLYGRAPH REQUIRED)

NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for an  a Senior API Systems Engineer to support a Federal Program in Sterling, VA.  This is a direct-hire role with our client, a fast-growing Federal Integrator.  An active TS/SCI Clearance and CI Polygraph is required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :
We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field is required. Specific skills include the following:

At a minimum, meet DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
Expertise working with Windows platforms and COTS applications in cloud environments
5+ years of experience with API gateway technologies (Broadcom API experience is strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of API design principles, security best practices, and industry-standard protocols
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Solid engineering rigor
Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills, including investigating log files to discover root-cause for challenges
Experience with Cloud architecture and system design
Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
Strong documentation skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :
API-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure API Management Certified)
Experience with API management platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee)
Broadcom API gateway technologies experience
