Project Assistant
Associated Veterans, LLC  is seeking a Project Manager to provide network and IT infrastructure, engineering and consulting services, technical writing, day to day operations, system engineering for program enhancements, training, and support of the Information Technology (IT) program for to our Client. 
AV is a professional services consulting firm supporting several federal clients, in particular the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We have several contracts supporting the VA and are seeking a Project Assistant for a new opportunity to provide critical support for a comprehensive supply chain transformation initiative that is necessary to resolve current challenges related to Veteran quality of care, value to the taxpayer, and clear roles and responsibilities related to managing the VA’s supply chain.
The Supply Chain Transformation changes VA’s supply chain from an antiquated collection of disparate, discrete processes into an advanced integrated system that provides responsive, efficient clinical/non-clinical support. This integrated system must recognize that healthcare is consistently and rapidly driven by transformative innovation and change. This continually evolving environment has created the need to ensure VHA’s supply chain also continually evolves. This need is being met by the creation of a VHA Future Supply Chain Program Office (FSCPO) to continually scan future healthcare and supply chain trends, opportunities and capabilities. The FSCPO will also continuously and proactively evaluate innovations and alternatives. This approach to continuous supply chain management transformation will reduce cost, improve safety, mitigate risk and ensure optimal material and operational support in this dynamic environment. From FY 16 through FY 18, the first phase of this Transformation will be the execution of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) 2-year plan to stabilize/standardize VA’s supply chain and establishment of Supply Chain Innovation Centers (SCIC) to test and refine the target supply chain future operating model.
Position Details
The Project Assistant will support a project manager or Program Management Office; maintains artifact libraries; maintains action item logs and tracks deliverable milestones; provides meeting management support including making room and telecom arrangements, preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and tracking action items from the meetings.  Is knowledgeable about project management principles, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) and with experience and or training in the use of Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
  • Two (2) year degree required
  • Two (2) years of experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, project management or related disciplines can be substituted for the experience requirement. 
  • Certified Assistant Project Manager (CAPM) certificate issued by PMI may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
