Senior MLOps Engineer

We have a need for a Senior MLOps Engineer to support a Program with the Department of Homeland Security.  This role is fully remote, due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

Location: Remote
Position Overview:
  • Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for ML real-time and batch deployments
  • Design, build and maintain the ML CI/CD pipeline that automates data preparation, data analysis, experimentation, model training, model serving, monitoring and visualizations in production.
  • Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to develop processes, identify bottle necks, and create effective solutions
  • Research, develop and apply machine learning algorithms using common open-source tools
  • Deploy infrastructure for machine learning methods in a customer environment jointly with engineers, data scientists, and developers.
  • Lead and encourage MLOps best practices and tool selection
  • Managing infrastructure and technical solutions to train at scale on millions of data records within hours not days as well as inference at scale
Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed
  • Working knowledge of ML concepts, including data preparation and visualization, with experience in ML model development (including training and prediction), deployment and management
  • Comprehensive understanding in computer programming, including python
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication and collaboration skills
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on AI/ML engineering projects, DevSecOps and technical architecture specifically.
  • Strong architecture & design experience, including (at least 3 years) of experience deploying production enterprise applications in AWS that use AI/ML.
  • Experience in large-scale, high-performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS.
  • At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering.
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, business intelligence, economics, statistics, or mathematics
Clearance:  US Citizenship with ability to obtain Public trust clearance
