NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Data Center Engineer to support a Federal Program in Springfield, VA.  This is a direct-hire role with our client, a fast-growing Federal Integrator.  Outstanding compensation and benefits!  Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and an active Top Secret Clearance is required.

Job Description

· Develops computer systems specifications that fit with the government's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

· Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

· Responsible for installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware.

· Ensures availability of development systems to end users through continuous system monitoring and issue remediation.

· Applies required security updates and implementations mandated by DoD cyber security regulations.

· Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

· Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 8+ years of related experience

· Location: On Customer Site

· US Citizenship Required
