NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Systems Administrator to support a critical Federal Program. This is a Full-Time on-site role in Lorton, Virginia with our client, a highly-respected Federal Integrator. Must a U.S. Citizen be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
The primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
The individual shall assist in the administration and design overall management of SFL9’s internal Digital Evidence Network as well as administrative networks. This includes the day-to-day operation of SFL9’s entire technical infrastructure including Storage Area Network (SAN) administration, VMWare administration, Networking administration, Windows Active Directory, and other Microsoft Application servers.
Responsibilities:
- Administration and design of storage provisioning, and optimization of EMC VNX, Dell Compellent, Dell MD storage arrays, and other storage technologies.
- Administration and design for the configuration, and optimization of multiple Ethernet network infrastructure. Key technologies include Cisco IOS and NX-OS based switches, Cisco Firewalls, and Cisco Wireless Access Points and other networking technologies.
- Administration and design of the configuration, and optimization of multiple Fibre Channel fabric networks utilizing Brocade fibre channel switches and other networking equipment.
- Microsoft Active Directory design and management of a multi-domain and multi-site infrastructure operation.
- Administration and design for the configuration and optimization of multiple virtualized infrastructures using virtualization technology such as VMware vSphere and Horizon View.
- Microsoft Windows administration to include designing, managing and administering SQL Server, SharePoint Services, Windows Server Update Services, and antivirus package updates.
- System configuration design and management including operating system and application deployments, software updates and patches, infrastructure reporting using SCCM for multiple site environment
- Developing, maintaining, and conducting Backup and Archival strategy.
- Developing and maintaining documentation and performing security audits as required for Certification and Accreditation to NIST and DoD standards.
- Infrastructure design and management to include hardware purchase requests, site planning and deployments, and coordination with vendors for software and hardware issue resolution.
- Performing network and system design in support of changing requirements.
- Performing other laboratory functions as assigned.
