NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Senior VDI Engineer to support a DIA Program.  This role can sit in Washington DC, Sterling VA or Annapolis Junction MD.  It is a direct hire with our client, a fast growing Federal Integrator.  Outstanding compensation, benefits and leadership team.  Qualified candidates must have a current TS/SCI Clearance, CI Polygraph is preferred.

The VDI Engineer will be responsible for engineering solutions for baseline VDI builds ensuring operating system upgrades, planning and implementing desktop virtualization technology, and etc. We foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering VDI Engineering Services to the Government client. The VDI Engineer you will be trusted to engineer new and improved enhancements for existing and emerging virtual desktop technologies. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Analyzing user requirements, concepts of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
• Interacting with Government regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts
• Developing solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems ok advance scope and complexity
• Designing and implementing Microsoft infrastructure solutions including Windows Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud, and hybrid
• Managing, deploying, and transforming to Windows 10 Modern Management (Intune, Autopilot, Windows Virtual Desktop, etc.)
• Designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM)
• Operating Mobile Devices management systems (Android, iOS) (VMWare Workspace One, Citrix Workspace, VMWare AirWatch)
• Utilizing Microsoft 365 products (Office365, SharePoint, EM+S, etc.)
• Managing Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning)
• Operating and executing scripting skills in PowerShell or Python
• Providing Tier 3 and above support as needed
• Preparing and maintaining documentation for process and procedures related to engineering projects.

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
• Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and
deployment technologies
• Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures
• An ability to combine technical skills, creativity, and customer focus in delivering enterprise VDI solutions
• Expertise in the Windows 10 area – Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.
• Preferred certification(s):
- Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101)
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (1Y0-312)
- Azure
