SALESFORCE DEVELOPER (Richmond/Hybrid/Green Card/US Citizens

NorthHill Technology Resources has an immediate need for a Salesforce Developer for a fully remote position.  This role is primarily remote, with occasional trips to Richmond, VA.  This is a direct-hire with our client, a leader in insurance solutions for long-term care.  


POSITION TITLE
 

Salesforce Developer

 

ROLE  

As a Salesforce Developer, you will be working on a team with other passionate, driven and talented people to design, develop and launch innovative digital solutions.  You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.  

 

You will provide hands-on guidance and leadership to our Salesforce team and work closely with our Distributions, Marketing and Sales Teams in an Agile environment with specific focus on the Salesforce platform as well as related integrated applications.  This includes taking ownership for the design, development and deployment of Salesforce features. 

 

Who we are looking for: 

Your primary solution approach is to use native capabilities of Salesforce to design solutions, and discourage writing custom code. You are someone who stays current on Salesforce Release Notes and features to understand how new capabilities introduced can be relevant to your business. You enjoy educating a team of developers and business partners on these new capabilities. You effectively collaborate with technology and business stakeholders. 

   

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Engage business customers to understand overall business needs and identify the most appropriate solutions to meet those needs. 

  • Design, development, testing and deployment of all solutions on the Salesforce platform 

  • Proactively design and implement innovative solutions that leverage standard Salesforce capabilities to improve overall capabilities and performance of Salesforce 

  • Deliver best-in-class user experience. 

  • Lead detailed design, implementation and integrations as part of large strategic projects that meet our customer needs 

  • Provide support on a team consisting of web developers, business analysts, quality analysts, and a product owner to implement the best customer solution with a combination of architectural leadership and hands-on implementation 

  • Use your deep Salesforce knowledge to provide thought leadership to our customers and internal teams on best leveraging the CRM platform as well as integrated solutions 

  • Review and provide feedback on configured or coded solutions of developers and improve quality of deliverables for entire Agile team 

  • Responsible for Production Support activities across four Salesforce Orgs, and managing a team of offshore salesforce developers 

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent certifications and experience 

  • 3+ years’ experience with Salesforce platform 

  • Salesforce Admin Certification 

  • Experience with delivering business solutions through AppExchange packages such as Conga Composer, Velocify, SalesLoft, ExecVision, Calendly 

  • Demonstrated exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving information system problems while maintaining professionalism and courtesy 

  • Passion for UX and improving usability 

  • Continuous process improvement mindset 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams in parallel 

  • Passionate about voicing an opinion while being able to be humble in providing feedback 

  • Work collaboratively with other teams; QA, UX, Infrastructure, Web Operations, etc. 

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and agile development environment 

  • Skilled at partnering across project teams to ensure that all project deliverables are on time and high quality 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ARE A PLUS

  • Advanced Administrator Certification 

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder and Consultant Certifications 

  • Prior experience using Salesforce CLI  

  • Knowledge of data, analytics, reporting capabilities
