JIRA SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER (TS/SCI REQUIRED)

The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and providing support for Atlassian Confluence and Jira environments across various contract programs.  As a System Administrator, the individual will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving system-level issues, offering valuable consultation to contract teams on data architecture, and tool usage.  Ideally, possessing experience with the Data Center version of the Atlassian tool suite. Experience and skill related to cross tool integrations via scripting, API, and plug-in extensibility are highly sought after.  Agile framework exposure would benefit the candidate in pushing traditional software development modernization efforts across company primed contracts and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Deploy, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for Confluence and Jira environments across multiple contract programs.
· Design and refine cross-program data architecture solutions.
· Proactively manage Jira/Confluence system infrastructure, overseeing testing activities across an enterprise tool topography.
· Implement data backup strategies for deployed solutions and establish resiliency mechanisms in operational tool suites.
· Conduct audits of system logs for compliance and investigate technical issues.
· Gather metrics and generate reports on tool usage.
· Provide guidance to teams on tool usage and contribute to future implementation strategies.
· Facilitate new team/user onboarding, orientation, and training.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a system administrator for Atlassian tools.
· Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Atlassian certifications, such as Atlassian Certified System Administrator, are highly desirable.
· IA Certifications (Security+) are also desirable.

· Knowledge of mitigating system security concerns and vulnerabilities.
· Proficiency in Atlassian suite features, including dashboards, reporting, data schema, workflows, permissions, fields, and automation.
· Strong fundamental knowledge of Java frameworks, SQL, XML, JQL, and JSON.
· Familiarity with tool plug-ins and demonstrated ability to work independently in a timely manner.
