NorthHill Technology Resources has an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to lead a technical team for a Federal Project in Mclean, VA. This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client, a growing small Federal Integrator. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph is required.

Who We’re Looking For
This is a trail-blazing type project with a lot of newer technologies. We are looking for someone who is driven, wants to help push the boundaries, and has the willpower to help guide a team in new technical directions. You need to be able to understand objectives laid out by leadership, interpret them, and translate that to a coherent technical vision which you then execute with your team. You must be a curious person willing and ready to independently learn. You must be able to clearly paint your technical vision for others both technical and non-technical.
You will
• Meet with the customer and guide their requirements development process as they develop their AI capabilities
• Be a central player in guiding the development of the system to include which features are added, how they are built, and when they are built.
• Be on keyboard implementing the architecture
• Create technical implementation plans Essential Requirements
• Experience with Kubernetes or derivative.
o Our platform is OpenShift so OpenShift experience is preferred
DevOps background
o Ansible or other automation language
o git
o Python
• Some sort of development background. We do not expect that you have been a software engineer, but you should be a proficient programmer
• RHEL
• Strong understanding of networking
o We aren’t looking for a network engineer, but we will expect that we could, for example, ask you to look at the OVN-Kubernetes topology and with some study and access to a live system you could understand the network flow
• Technical architecture
o You must have experience building out datacenter architectures. You do not need to have been the lead, but you should understand things such as out of band management networks, management interfaces, patch cycles, etc.
• Ability to independently self-educate. This project spans a huge swath of technologies and no one is going to walk into it knowing everything. You will be expected that armed with the internet you can independently identify those things you do not know, teach yourself, and come back with answers.
• TS/SCI and active CI polygraph
• Any background in AI will be seen as a huge plus
o We are deploying OpenShift AI so experience with it is a bonus
• Dell PowerScale
• Math/compsci background
• Keycloak

o We are running Quay
• Experience building PKI infrastructure
• Software defined networking
• Experience implementing NIST/STIGs
