Our client, a fast-growing Federal Integrator, is hiring for a VMware Virtualization Infrastructure Engineer in Springfield VA.  This roles is onsite.  Hours 10am-6pm.   They will be able to eventually move to a 980 schedule (working 9 days every two weeks, 8 – 9 hour days and one 8 hour day.  

 

• Experience in installing, configuring, and managing our VMware (Omnissa) infrastructure, to include vSphere
• Perform remote management of ESXi hosts, servers, and VMs, to include multiple vSphere Upgrades from version 6.x to 8.x.
• Utilize tools in the virtual environment, to include, vRealize Operations Manager(vRops) and vRealize Log Insight, which is now Aria Operations.
• Develop and maintained automation scripts, utilizing PowerCLI, resulting in a reduction in manual effort and an increase in efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to users through support tickets, with an overall improvement in user satisfaction.
• Maintain security policies and procedures for our vSphere environment, resulting in compliance with DISA regulations.
• Monitor and troubleshooted our vSphere environment for performance and availability.
• Implement SSL and other Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security technologies to secure communication between servers and applications.
